Engaged? Well then make sure you mark the 7th to 9th June in your diary for the very first South African Wedding Show. This stylish expo, held at the CTICC, will host 250 of the best wedding specialists in the country and will make wedding planning a breeze.
Joel and Annchen’s wedding pictures are simply gorgeous and we can just imagine how beautiful their special day must have been. Annchen, a classic beauty, was a bridal vision from head to toe. Her soft hairstyle perfectly framed and complimented her delicate features and dreamy gown.
Welovepictures recently travelled all the way to the little farming town of Malelane in Mpumalanga, 80km from the Mozambican border, to capture the very special wedding of Cheska and Human. Being welcomed with open arms, guests not only enjoyed a spectacular ‘safari wedding’ but also had genuine close encounters with buffaloes, elephants and other wildlife surrounding the family farm.
Two weeks ago I attended a brandy tasting and blending experience that has changed my view of brandy forever. I had the privilege of learning more about SA’s top brandies with master distiller Brink Liebenberg from Van Van Ryn’s in Stellenbosch, as well as blending my own personal brandy with a mixture of 3, 5, 12 and 15 year old brandies.
One can’t help but feel at peace when visiting Babylonstoren, an old Cape Dutch farm in the Drakenstein Valley. For me, it’s heaven on earth… and a visit to the Glass House or even the farm shop is food for my creative soul.
Four & Twenty, a brand new café and pantry, started as a happy day dream under the Eiffel Tower in 2011. On a trip to France, Owners Tracey -Leigh Genricks and Marijke Duminy was so enamoured with the European culture of almost worshiping flavour, that they vowed to bring that feeling back home.The daydream became a reality just last month when the café opened its doors on the four and twentieth day of April in Wynberg’s Chelsea Village.
