High Tea for Two – Simple & Elegant

A simple elegance, this minimalist all-white high tea is perfect for the bride who wants to add a sophistication to her day. We loved the natural, neutral palette with golden touches, which showcased a recent collaboration between photographer Nicolene Meyer and Colleen from Lieflingkind. We asked Nicolene to tell us more about their day.

The Inspiration

Keeping in mind modern, minimalistic design, the idea of an elegant high tea came to life, styled by Ezalle from Myrtle Events & Styling. We incorporated a collection of greenery, geometric shapes and gold accents against the neutral backdrop of the ceremony hall at Harmonie Proteas.

The Details

We used 3/4 of a wreath with greens and a beautiful cake created by Mmm Macarons, topped with a Phalaenopsis orchid and other air plants, to bring the tablescape to life. We also used two golden geo-shaped lamps draped with various florals. It created the perfect backdrop for our coupleThe table setting focused on the high tea, with various eats and divine confectionary also provided by Mmm Macarons – simple elegance.

Lieflingkind designed the beautiful stationery, choosing an neutral palette, offset by different paper textures with organic fonts that added to the natural feel. This kind of approach is versatile and perfect for a laid-back, minimalist bride who loves a touch of elegance.

The Beauty

Make-up and hair of our bride was done by Lynette, at Bridal Hair and Make-up. First she styled her hair with soft, natural looking curls and combined it with neutral make-up to focus on our bride’s eyes. Then she opted for a lovely up-do and striking red lips.
