James & Bianca’s Plettenberg Bay Wedding

From a dodgy pub to wedding bells, this is a celebration of note. James and Bianca said “I do’’ in the idyllic setting of Bramon Wines. The ever enthusiastic Bianca embraced multiple DIY projects from popcorn confetti tubs to creative signs, not to mention the intricate attention to pinstripe detail.
We adore the chic colour scheme and table settings that were chosen to complement the beautiful vineyard setting, Bianca’s exquisite and classic wedding gown with eye-catching back detail. We can go on and on, but luckily Tasha Seccombe was there to capture every moment.

Any advice for brides-to-be?

Just enjoy it all! Gosh, it’s such fun and only happens once in your life!

Did anything unexpected happen?

The DJ copied some of our music onto a disk and for some reason it didn’t want to work on the day! It was only a few songs and nobody even noticed! We just had a good laugh about it!

Where did you get most of your ideas and inspiration from?

I followed The Pretty Blog every single day for our entire engagement, I just love it! Other websites I love are Green Wedding Shoes and Style Me Pretty.

What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome while organising your dream wedding?

I think the hardest part was trying to include everyone, especially family! I think we did okay in the end, everyone had an absolute ball!

Any hints for other brides on how to keep your wedding budget friendly?

It is so easy to spend an absolute fortune on your wedding day, let’s face it we all want the best day ever! My husband kept a spreadsheet with the budget and we stuck it to it as much as we could. Keep track of everything going out!

What song did you choose for your opening dance and why?

We chose The Lumineers, Ho Hey. It’s such an awesome “feel good” song and we both love it!
