We end the weekend on a high note. The wedding of Luca and Carol is a visual delight, a breath of fresh air and any photographer’s dream. After seven years of dating, this creative duo, both working in the advertising industry, knew exactly what they wanted for their big day. They stayed true to a style of classic minimalism with many elegant and graceful finishing touches.
The Conservatory in Franschhoek provided the perfect backdrop for this chic celebration adorned with tasteful floral and décor installations, stunning stationery designs and a colour scheme of muted tones. We think Carol’s gown is outright dreamy, refreshing and unique, not to mention her statement shoes. Jilda G Photography was the lucky lady behind the lens.
Luca and I met while I was an advertising student and he was working at a big agency in Cape Town. He shared a digs with one of my wilder friends at college – we used to come home from the clubs, when he was headed off to work! Some years later, we met up again at an industry event and ended up dancing to some dodgy Roxette tunes and smooching in front of clients. That was seven years ago. We moved in together a year later, got two cats together three years later, bought a house a year after that and got then married.
What were the highlights of your wedding day?
Having everyone we love most in the world in one place. Our service was performed by one of our close friends, Craig, who tailored every word to us as a couple – it meant so much to us. To add to some fun, we played a ‘game’ before the dancing started, which made everyone laugh (at us, mostly!) and gave us a chance to hand out some shooters. For me, my dress was the Princess Dress I always wanted – and I loved the whole experience – Kluk’s team was phenomenal.
