This bold, bright bridal inspiration sings summer and we loved the fuchsia pink highlights complimented by turquoise pops of colour! The team of creatives pulled together a day of Colour Burst inspo and we asked Sasha, from Pre’ped by Sasha Catering, to tell us more about how it all came together.
International photographer Kelly Lemon, Candace Allan-Youssif from Absolute Perfection and myself wanted to create something vibrant and colourful on Kelly’s last trip to South Africa. We wanted to show the modern, city side of this beautiful country, so we collaborated to create a burst of fusion, texture and fun.
I wanted to take a few integral food items we use in South Africa and create a fusion with the very colourful, fresh cuisine of South America as inspiration. What was born was a boerewors and peach salsa mini taco, a maize meal Parmesan and sun-dried tomato foam layer salad, Cape Malay lamb tortilla with fresh herbs and purple mange tout and avocado ice cream.
