Making use of earthy colours and natural light, we loved this styled shoot by photographer couple Hannes Thun and Farina Deutschmann of Mister and Misses Do. It depicts a beautiful autumn scene with so many beautiful ideas to inspire couples planning a warm and earthy wedding.
Inspiration Behind The Shoot
The inspiration behind the shoot was to provide inspiration for couple’s that love to be surrounded by natural beauty and warm colours, who are planning a laid back celebration that draws on organic, natural and simple elements.
The shoot took place at Langkloof Roses, the perfect venue for bespoke weddings. The set was beautifully styled by Adelaine Breedt from A Little Thing Called, who succeeded in showcasing the elegance of the natural elements used in the shoot. Decor was perfectly complemented with down to earth stationery by Letterlove Design.
The understated wedding dress was chosen from the owner’s own collection at The Wedding Boutique and the soft, flowing material was a perfect fit for the shoot. Staying with the theme, make-up artist Diana Zwarthoed managed to capture the bride’s natural beauty with a loose braid and soft makeup. The boho crown and feather boutonniere added some flare to an otherwise understated wardrobe.
Autumn is the ideal time to incorporate natural elements into a wedding, with earthy hues which add a golden glow to the ceremony. The tip from Hannes and Farina is to shop around, looking in secondhand stores for a mix of pottery, glass and wood. By adding a brass element you can liven up the scene without moving away from the natural theme.
