From the flowers through to the stationery – this creative team have combined a colour palette of soft pinks, mauve and mossy emerald to achieve a beautiful, bold botanical look. We love this combination of colours! Thanks Adene and team for sharing this floral inspiration with us.
Anya came to South Africa from America as a social worker, and here she met the love of her life, Chris. She decided she wanted to capture their love in a beautifully styled engagement session and got in touch with me to organise and photograph the shoot for her. Our inspiration behind the shoot was to use the colour mauve and combine it with a green botanical feel. The beautiful little bulldog, York, is their pet dog – Anja insisted that he be part of the shoot!
Flowers: As you can see the flowers and stationery looked identical – I absolutely love that the two matched and really carried the theme through all elements.
Stationery: We were inspired by the current botanical craze. We used a lush pink rose botanical sketch and placed it against the rich, complimentary moss-emerald. We also used rose gold as a subtle highlight to the pink of the roses.
Dress: We wanted to create a fun and playful dress. We used shades of dusty mauve pink and dark maroon in layers of fabric to create a dress that embraces movement. We added organic details, like the lace appliqué on the bodice and part of the skirt as part of the floral inspiration.
