This Arty Cape Town Home Is a Must-See!

We love looking at pretty indoor inspiration and Pinterest is a favourite here at The Pretty Blog. But we’ve recently found another real-life avenue of decor inspiration: Airbnb. There are tons of gorgeous homes all over the world and it’s like looking at Pinterest hacks come-to-life! We found this gem in Observatory, Cape Town, which has been carefully designed and curated by interior designer Tracy Lynch and her artist husband, Frank van Reenen. And it’s perfectly suited for a month of minimalism, but with a unique modern twist!

Modern Inspiration

Observatory is home to many arty homes, hangouts and interior shops, so it’s no surprise that the owner of this home added that funky touch to her decor. From the paint job on the walls, to the quirky sculptures and pops of bright colours, we loved how everything just seemed to work. There’s functionality behind the pieces chosen – side tables, lamps and even dining table chairs all serve their purpose – but with a flare of mismatched modernity that ties it all together.

The next time you need some inspiration for a new look in your home, check out some of the incredible designer spaces available to rent on Airbnb by visiting their site or even booking a weekend away. It’s the perfect opportunity to test drive a look you like, before making it a permanent addition in your home!
