Inviting Family Home – Home Tour

Gretha Bester, co-owner of Makietie Linen, opens her lovely family home to us today. We met Gretha and Janine from Makietie at Kamers vol Geskenke last year, and fell in love with their gorgeous linen range. Some of you may have seen that we used Makietie linen for some of our food shoots. The fabric is not just beautiful, but also super photogenic, and made our job really easy. Gretha’s home is just as beautiful as the linen her company produces. The house was built in 1925, and the family has lived there for six years.
With its big windows, wooden floors and big stoep, this house is everything a family can ask for. It’s a beautiful but relaxed abode with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is my favourite room of the Bester home. That vintage display cabinet has stolen my heart!
