6 Talented South African Ceramic Designers

This year The Pretty Blog team vowed to spend more time enjoying prepping our lunch and dinners. We started planning our weekly meals in advance and we regularly trade recipes and cooking tips, to minimise waste and encourage each other to bring home-made lunches to the office. The best part of this whole process, though, is dishing up the meals we worked so hard to prepare. Our favourite tableware must-haves include some of these minimalist, ceramic crockery from talented local designers. They’re our go-to basics for any meal and allow us to focus on enjoying the goodness of life in the slow lane.

1. KIN Culture

Not only are their designs simple, minimalist and unique, Kin Culture is also for a good cause. The Kin Culture team aims to uplift local communities, through skills training and job creation. If you want to buy something beautiful and contribute to a good cause, check out their shop over here.

3. Dayfeels

Amor Coetzee is the talented lady behind Dayfeels. She is inspired by the muted, calmness of the ocean, landscapes and properties of water. Her designs are carefully created through the process of elimination, until only the true essence remain. She’s also a talented illustrator and you can shop her design collection over here.

We recently spotted Klomp Ceramics on Instagram and fell in love with her pink and marble range. Her pink range was born, after the birth of her baby girl. Such a beautiful story! Check out her full collection over here.
