Learn The Art of Baking

Have you always wanted to learn how to bake? Well now you can do so in the familiar environment that is your own kitchen. Yuppiechef.com have just launched The Art of Baking an online learning experience for aspiring bakers. Many home cooks are reluctant to try baking as it is more exact and with techniques like blind baking, proving, gluten development, creaming, folding and resting- it sure looks and sounds quite intimidating. The Art of Baking, however has been designed to give even the most inexperienced bakers the foundational knowledge they need to master key baking subjects. But if you know your Genoise from your Victorian sponge, not to worry, experienced bakers will benefit from unique baking secrets and recipes.

Hosted by renowned South African foodie and seasoned baker, Sarah Graham, the course comprises six lessons which learners can complete at their own pace, in their own home and from the device of their choice. The course is fully enabled for mobile devices to make life easier for people on-the-go and with busy schedules.

Each lesson has four steps including: watching an engaging video tutorial; reading through the lesson notes to buff up knowledge and review key points; baking a recipe in your own kitchen; and finally, completing a quiz to unlock the next lesson.

“There aren’t many resources out there and this course speaks to a wide variety of people. There are many tips and tricks to pick up on and I hope that aspiring bakers will love this course as much as I did”.

-Sarah Graham

Here’s the best part, the course is FREE! Register and complete all six lessons that make up the course before the 15th of December 2013 and you stand a chance to win a Medallion Silver KitchenAid Stand Mixer (as used by Sarah Graham in the course videos), or one of 20 baking hampers.
