Carne on Kloof – One for the Meat-Lovers!

Although we enjoy doing a meat-free Monday on a regular basis, there is nothing as mouthwatering as a well prepared piece of fillet or rib-eye! This Cape Town restaurant is well known for being the place to visit if you’re looking for a tender piece of steak but they also serve up a range of other delicious favourites. So, if you’re looking for the perfect date-night spot or simply want to tick another Mother City must-visit off your list, go and check out Carne!

Chef Giorgio Nava is responsible for not only opening the first Carne SA on Keerom, but also two other beautiful locations in Constantia and on Kloof Street. The trendy Kloof Street location is ideal for any occasion with its minimalist, earthy decor and intimate setting. Exposed red brick, lots of wood and beautiful pops of colour really help you to feel like you’re in a fine steak house somewhere in Argentina. A signature dish on the menu is the 1.2kg La Fiorentina T-bone, which they recommend as “a fine choice for a hungry couple”. So set up date night, remember to make a reservation and come hungry!
