A note from me to you.

It’s been eight years since I started ‘The Pretty Blog’.

To date, seven million people have collectively spent twenty seven years on this website.

It’s been a pretty adventurous journey to say the least, which included learning many lessons. One of those lessons? The importance of moving with the times.

It's become clear that in the media world, where technology rules, your survival is dependent on your acceptance of constant change.

Accepting change is scary and taking new risks, even more so, but I've decided to be brave and go for it. From February 2018, The Pretty Blog moved it's focus from blogging, to purely inspire our audience through daily posts on our social media channels.

The reason for this major change in our business is really quite simple. How much time do you spend on your phone per day, scrolling through your Instagram and Facebook feeds, versus reading blogs? You do the maths.

But for now, this marks the end of ‘The Pretty Blog’ as we know it and the birth of a new era. Which we happily embrace. So if you love what we do, how we do it and want to continue following us on this journey, please follow us on Instagram or Facebook.

Thank you for your love and support and please continue following the journey through our InstagramFacebook & Pinterest profiles. Here’s to even prettier things in the future.

For small businesses:

Through the journey of building The Pretty Blog, I've learned a lot about branding, digital marketing and retail. I believe this experience has been instrumental in the growth of The Pretty Blog, as well as our client's digital reach and establishing a trust relationship between our audience and our client's brands. I've therefore decided to turn this knowledge and experience into a service that adds tremendous value to my clients’ businesses. Apart from purely offering them access to well established marketing channels through The Pretty Blog, I can now also offer consulting services, through Meintjes & Co that can reach far wider than just The Pretty Blog and be implemented across all their marketing endeavours. If you're interested in learning more about this service, you can have a look over here.
