Love meets Life Photography recently captured this heartwarming wedding of Katie and Nathan as they exchanged vows in the beautiful Panama City Beach, in Florida. The couple met while attending college and have dated for just over five years, when Nathan excitedly popped the question. We absolutely love the refreshing look and feel of the soft, milky colours and elegant combination of tulips, hydrangeas and succulents. Most importantly, the couple wanted their special day to reflect their casual personalities and therefore Katie took great pride and joy in making most of the stationery and decorative details herself. This certainly added a sense of homemade warmth to the day. She was indeed a gorgeous bride walking down the aisle, glowing in an A-line dress, designed by Christos.
Nathan and I met at school in Missouri where I was studying Equine Administration and Nathan was studying Communication. We met his freshman year at a Halloween party and have been together ever since. Five years later and a six month sprint in England, we moved back to Houston and this is where Nathan popped the question.
How did you keep your wedding budget-friendly?
I did a lot of things myself like the invites, escort cards, menus, wedding favours, as well as some of the decorations. This is more time-consuming but it makes it special and can save on costs.
How does your wedding reflect your personalities?
We like to keep things very simple and reserved so I think that showed. I didn’t want anything too flashy or over-the-top. And we wanted to keep it simple and romantic, which I think we achieved.
Any advice for couples planning their wedding?
Enjoy the day. Eat, drink and take in all the wonderful memories.
What was the highlight of your wedding day?
The highlight of my wedding was seeing how it all came together and seeing all our friends and family having a great time.
