City Chic Rooftop {Tablescape}

December 4, 2012 by
Today we would like introduce you to a new Floral Decor & Design Company, Nineteen Eighty FiveChristine recently met up with Jackie and Isabel, the two dynamic ladies behind Nineteen Eighty Five, in Illovo to shoot this chic rooftop table setting. Since a lot of the venues offer their clients round tables, they wanted to introduce a different take on the typical round table setting. For the table they sourced deep buttoned upholstered benches to offer alternative yet comfortable seating and combined it with signature arm chairs.  And instead of one table arrangement they clustered vases of different heights adding simple flowers. We’re loving the bright yellow billy ball flowers. The colour scheme they opted for was undertones of greys and taupe, with yellow as the complimentary colour. The bright yellow chesterfield worked great to combine old school charm with the modern urban setting. We would just like to thank Isabel and Jackie for helping us set up our stand at Kamers Irene. You were wonderful, such a joy to work with.

    Love it! Exactly all the colours and feel i’m planning for my wedding in 3 weeks time :) Can you perhaps give some tips on suppliers for furniture (especially the yellow couch!) used for this shoot?

Girly pink pony party

On the 1st of March, Milla was showered with love from friends and ponies alike. It was a special occasion to celebrate her 8th birthday and I can see in the sweetly happy smiles of the girls, the ponies (pink and real) were as much a part of the fun as the girls themselves. Although mother Theunette Heinlein has her own events company, she couldn’t have created the lovely day without Milla’s great love for horses and intuitive knack for matching vintage teal and pink. It gave the pony party a unique atmosphere that the girls adored.
