What to Pack: Italy {Travel Fashion}

Italy, like so many other European holiday destinations, is filled with some of the most trendy and chic people you’ll ever meet. Style, it seems, is inherent throughout the continent and Italy is truly one of the forerunners in fashion. Today’s post, like last week’s, will help you blend in with the well-dressed locals whether cruising the canals in Venice or taking in the Colosseum in Rome.

When I think of the classic Italian look I see casually tied white shirts, capri pants and leather sandals. A silk scarf for adventures in the country or wrapped fashionably around your neck will add that air of sophistication we’ve come to know about the country. A printed silk shift and leather sandal wedges are great for nights spent at outside cafes while a wide-brimmed hat and leather messenger are holiday necessities while you’re traversing the beautiful sights.

When packing for Italy keep silhouettes simple and classic and always well-made. Leather shoes and bags are an absolute must. For that touch of Gucci, Dolce and Versace glamour, bring along some luxe printed items like my dress and scarf selection above.

    Thank you! Where can I get capri pants? I’ve been looking out but found nothing so far.

      Hi Jenna

      I would try YDE, Foschini or Edgars. If you can’t find true capris opt for a straight pair of slacks and roll them up above your ankle :)
