If you grew up in South Africa you will know what a bazaar is. If not, it ‘s a little bit like a carnival. It always includes lucky packets, home made sweets, ginger beer and baked treats, as well as fun games for the children.
I received an email from one of our readers, Maalika Nakidien, who needed some advice on how to choose the right bouquet. She had a “bouquet dilemma” as she called it and wanted to know if she could use peonies in her bouquet. She was worried that it might not last in the heat. Since I am no expert when it comes to flowers, I decided to call in the help of the Kikka flower team. They had some great advice for Maalika. Maalika’s request also sparked the idea to do a whole post about bouquets. Last week I said that nothing says bride like a veil, but the other piece of the bridal attire that also screams bride, is the bouquet.
So here’s all the French prettiness, as promised. I just love all things French! From the wine, the food, fashion, perfume to the architecture and the language. So if like me, you have a passion for all things French, why not have it as your wedding theme. The French also have many wedding traditions that you can incorporate into the ceremony. Then kick of the festivities by sabering a bottle of champagne. Also make sure to include some French dishes into the menu! And finally, don’t forget the music and the boules et voilà c’est une fête!
