At the end of last year my husband and I took the plunge and bought ourselves a proper coffee machine. There hasn’t been a day that I’ve regretted that choice, it has changed my life dramatically. I can now officially be labelled a coffee snob because nothing compares to bean-to-cup coffee.
It’s such a cliché to say the year flew past, but seriously . . . feels like I’ve been on fast forward since June. I’ll be spending Christmas with my family in Newcastle and will be back for the new year in Langebaan. We’re thinking of hosting a new years gathering with a few friends, which I’m extremely excited about. I want to create an exciting celebratory feel, without going over-the-top or having to much waste.
So from last week’s bold and festive Mexican inspired ideas move on to this watercolour inspired look. The team at Landtscap, together with Anneke from AnnaH, put together this soft and feminine tea table. To create this dreamy look they used a modern table with ghost chairs and added dusty coloured ceramics, napkins and other sweet details.
I am all for online shopping! There’s no parking issues, no car guards and no carrying around heavy bags. So whenever I find a cool new online shop, I get really excited, especially if it is a local one. My most recent find is From the Heart Emporium. You can browse From the Heart Emporium for hours and hours. There are the custest, most creative goodies for your home as well as loads of great gifts.
When the queen of crochet, Lolla Orchard from Love Lolla, invited us to photograph her pretty apartment we jumped at the opportunity. We knew it would be filled with loads of handmade decor items. We were not disappointed!
Today is decor Tuesday, but unfortunately we do not have a featured home or shoot. We will continue with that next week. But we do have some goodies to give away from Skinny laMinx. And we have another giveaway this afternoon. Yes we are feeling quite generous today.
