The taste of these old-fashioned sweet buttery biscuits take me straight back to my childhood home in Stellenbosch, where I baked several batches of these each year before our annual Christmas holiday in Keurboomstrand. They are delicately spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, and they’re just heavenly dipped in warm tea.
Finding gifts for friends over the festive season can be both overwhelming and expensive. I never know exactly who I should give gifts to over the festive season, you know, what are the rules regarding gifting? And when you get married the size of you family “doubles”. So in the past two years I have baked Christmas cookies that I decorated and packaged beautifully.
There is something about wreaths that makes my heart go all warm and fuzzy. A house with a big, leafy wreath on the front door exudes hospitality and welcomes you in. I always imagine big feast preparations in process behind that front door. I am extremely proud to say that this year my front door looks like one of those.
Christmas is around the corner, and this year we will be using Washi Tape to decorate Christmas cards and gifts. It is one of the fastest and easiest ways to prettify any gift. But there are loads of other things you can do with this nifty roll of tape.
I am so excited about Christmas this year {who isn’t} & I love wrapping gifts beautifully! {It just makes a gift so much more special no matter how big or how small} There is NO denying the fact that opening a present that has been wrapped beautifully is so much more exciting.
Over here at Seven Swans there is almost nothing we love more than pretty stationery and cards. So, with Christmas just under two months away (yay!), we jumped at the chance to create some fun and easy-to-make Christmas and holiday tags!
