I absolutely love living in Stellenbosch. There is so much to see and do here, we are surrounded by beautiful mountains and vineyards, and we have lots and lots of pretty restaurants and shops. One of our favourites is The Birdcage.

Bridal showers, they are surprisingly tricky to put together. Every bridesmaid wants to throw the most memorable and unique bridal shower. But there are so many different factors to consider, like the budget, the venue, the time frame, the activities, and of course everyone’s opinion.
Kitchen teas (or bridal showers) are one of those special occasions where you get the opportunity to spoil, affirm and tell that amazing friend, or in my case a sister, how special she really is. When my sister Lydia got engaged, the one thing I wanted was to organise a beautiful kitchen tea for her.
I’m not exactly sure when my love for herbs started, but I’m pretty sure my mom played a big part. She has this amazing huge garden filled with basically every herb you can think of. I love walking around in it, touching and smelling different plants, and listening to her explaining what I can do with them.
I had the honour of celebrating the Christening of a dear friend’s baby last weekend. After the service we were spoilt with lots of yummy treats. Among others, a delicious Hummingbird Cake. I couldn’t resist the urge to grab my camera and take a picture.
