As the last the spring blossoms start to disappear, we bring you this lovely spring tablescape put together by stylist Louél Staude. With some of my favourite flowers like peonies, ranunculus and sweet peas in season, it’s the perfect excuse to take out your best cutlery and crockery and host a pretty lunch. To recreate the look, you do not have to do more than get a few glass containers and arrange a mixture of garden flowers along with a few statement blooms from your florist. For a romantic feminine touch, arrange a selection of doilies along the middle of the table to create the illusion of a runner. Marsel Roothman was behind the lens.

When it was time to test it, I learned the hard way that a brittle is not always as simple as it seems.
