Mother's Day Breakfast in bed

With all this Royal Wedding madness it’s easy to forget that Mother’s Day is around the corner! Today I’ve prepared the perfect Mother’s Day gesture – sweet and simple breakfast in bed! Many moms seem to already have it all and so I find the simplest acts of love are the best when it comes to these informal holidays. Every year I give my mom a bouquet of flowers and treat her to breakfast in bed. She normally doesn’t indulge in these sort of things anymore so it really means a lot to her. To spice up this time honoured tradition I have a few tips and printable.

The perfect breakfast tray really is all about the styling. Before placing any items on the tray find a pretty cloth or leftover wrapping paper to line the inside and tie some co-ordinating ribbon on the handles. Place a pre-brewed cup of tea of coffee in the corner with our printable sugar sachet tucked into the saucer. Place your chosen breakfast meal in the centre and the napkin and cutlery (wrapped in our printable band) alongside. Finish off the tray with a small vase showcasing a few blooms from your chosen bouquet. This way she’ll get to enjoy her flowers during breakfast before finding the perfect place for the full bouquet. Dress up your bouquet with some matching tissue paper, ribbon and our printable gift tag.

Until next week I’d like to wish all moms, grandmothers and moms-to-be a very special Mother’s Day for the 8th of May!

The Forum’s Winter Warm Scandinavian Shoot

Today we share the wondrous winter wedding shoot, conceptualised and styled by Garniche Studio in collaboration with White Kite Studios and captured by the brilliant Christine Meintjes. It’s a tale of Scandinavian wedding bliss, set against the distinctive industrial backdrop of Turbine Hall at The Forum. We simply adore the abundance of textures, intricately styled decor and the style in which all these elements melt into warm, rich hues of burgundy, gold, dark brown and eucalyptus green.
