Arnold and Liebe said their I do’s during an intimate wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Halfaampieskraal farm in the Overberg. The two met while they were still in high school and have been friends ever since. A few years later Liebe made her way down the aisle to marry the love of her life. And not even the howling wind or the heat could put a damper on the happy occasion.

Amongst the rural splendour of open fields and mountains lies Matjiesdrift, a natural haven, where Marieke and Rich started their lifelong journey together. The day offered a crisp, partly cloudy air which produced the perfect light for their beautiful couple’s pictures.
The wedding of Arno and his beloved Marcia was an exceptional occasion. With a 150 guests attending, the couple placed great emphasis on having a relaxed day without the constraints of numerous formalities. After a traditional ceremony at The Moederkerk in Stellenbosch, guests were welcomed at Kanonkop Wine Estate, Marcia’s family farm.
A funky spin on ‘bridal bliss’ is the wedding celebration of Hunter and Nelia. The couple got together with close friends at Rockhaven and rocked the night away… literally. Hunter, talented guitarist of Die Heuwel Fantasties and Nelia, a gifted graphic designer and one of Pretty Blog’s much-loved stationery contributors, Nooi Stationery, joined their artistic forces for their big ‘I do’
Destined to meet during at a hiking expedition up Groenberg Mountain, Antoinette and Jacques were attached to nature from day one. Consequently, tying the knot, in the woods two years later the couple couldn’t wish for a more idyllic setting.
I am lucky to live not too far away from one of the most inspiring places in South Africa, a beautiful Cape Dutch farm called Babylonstoren, with breathtaking gardens and two restaurants where guests can enjoy glorious food made from the farm produce. So you can imagine my delight when we discovered this rustically romantic wedding held at Babylonstoren.
If you love romantic, vintage inspired weddings (and I think deep down inside we all do), then you are going to adore this country wedding. Donovan and Emma got married on one of the oldest farms in the Tulbagh area, some of the buildings in the picturesque town date back over 250 years.
