When you meet Christine’s wonderful mom, Petro, it’s clear that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Christine definitely got her sense of style and creativity from her mother. Petro is just one of the most wonderful cooks I’ve ever met.
Holidays are upon us and over at Yuppiechef, we are preparing the way for holiday kitchens across Mzanzi. Lazy summer days, balmy evenings, beach picnics, good food, laughter, family and friends – the countdown begins.
We just moved into a new place, and I’m still trying to find a space for everything. My old house had a built in wine rack and a lot more cupboard space, so I’m thinking wooden crates would come in handy.
I recently had the privilege of being my friend Nikki’s bridesmaid. And even though she planned her whole wedding, including the bridesmaids dresses meticulously, we still had some drama. Let’s just say, the dresses didn’t turn out the way she envisioned them.
Good heavens! That’s exactly what I thought when I saw my friend Rohan’s happy tie at a recent wedding. He was sporting a cotton necktie, one called Saturday to be precise, from a company called Good Heavens. So first thing monday morning I emailed Katrin and Matthew to tell them that we la la love their ties. So today I finally get to share this wonderful find with you.
