We love farm weddings. There’s just something so peaceful and laid-back about getting married in beautiful, natural surroundings. Seen through the lens of Wrensch Lombard, Danie and Trix had a joyous, summery wedding celebration.
I have seen some great locations for weddings, but I can’t think of a more magical setting to tie the knot, than this romantic cave that David and Emily chose for their big day. The happy couple got married in August last year at the Willowbrook Amphitheater close to Denver, in the US.
Today is kind of a dream come true for me, featuring two creatives in the wedding industry I most admire, photography maestro Jose Villa and stylist Joy Proctor from Joy de Vivre. I have been following Joy’s work for so long, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet up with her on their recent visit to South Africa. When she then also offered this inspirational feature to us, we were simply over the moon!
Since ombre is such a big international trend at the moment, we could not resist sharing these table decor ideas from event and styling company, Nineteen Eighty Five. The ombre trend can be seen everywhere at the moment: from the runway to hair colour, home decor to floral design, it has taken the design world by storm. If the word ombre sounds Greek to you, not to worry, it’s actually a French word and it just refers to colour gradually darkening or fading .
Pinning is one of the hottest trends that have taken the world by storm. For many, once he’s popped the BIG question, the light-headedness and joy of being newly engaged is swiftly overtaken by feelings of anxiety, confusion and nervousness around the planning of the big day. Usually our better halves only start coming to the party a few weeks before the wedding, which means that a lot of the initial heavy lifting is left to you.
I can’t think of a better way to start the week, than with a wedding shot by the amazing team from Feather and Stone Photography. This outdoor Byron Bay (beachside town on the Northeast corner of Australia) celebration has all the elements we love of a modern wedding: it’s simple and elegant, yet dreamy and romantic all at the same time.
