After a very romantic and unexpected proposal, Danie and Lené shared their wedding day with friends and family at the picturesque Backsberg Wine Estate. This pretty blue-eyed red head caught our attention with her understated yet tasteful sense of style, wearing a tailored dress that was so unique, simple and delicate.

I am lucky to live not too far away from one of the most inspiring places in South Africa, a beautiful Cape Dutch farm called Babylonstoren, with breathtaking gardens and two restaurants where guests can enjoy glorious food made from the farm produce. This sweet, sweet celebration was all DIY from start to finish. Nathan and Megan said their vows in October last year, and planned the whole wedding in just three short months! Family and friends lend a hand, while Megan’s mom Kathie went into coordinator mode.
Henri and Dedé’s wedding is right up my alley. Jamie and Sarah said their vows on a perfect spring day in the beautiful Karoo. They wanted an honest and natural celebration to go with the peaceful, raw surroundings of Prince Albert. Sarah says their wedding was one big DIY project.
Leigh looked absolutely breathtaking in her vintage inspired peplum dress. Leigh says she always liked the idea of having long sleeves. We’re loving the lace detail, and of course the floral headband and ankle boots. Sadly, after dancing the night away, Leigh’s dress is now a bit of an ombre colour from bottom to top.
