After a mountain biking detour it was love at first site for collector and decor enthusiast Ilma Roux, from Fully Blossom, when she took a tour of friend’s newly acquired Cape Town flat. The little apartment, was at that time still in desperate need of some TLC, but it had lots of potential, and immediately stole their hearts, says Ilma. Luckily the friend had bought the apartment only as an investment, so it was a done deal.
After a first date that failed miserably, wedding bells were the furthest thing from the future Mr & Mrs Mhlanga’s mind. After a six year hiatus the two hit off immediately after their second date in magical New York. Another five years later Leo and Andrea had an intimate, colourful wedding celebration on the picturesque Dornier Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch.
When the formidable Izette, owner of Landtscap and Leipzig, told me about her idea to create table decor ideas using the “ugly ducklings” of the colour world, I was all ears. I mean, how genius and refreshing is that? The creative all girls team at Landtscap and Leipzig dreamed up this series “Colours to Preserve”.
Chrismo & Shani connected through the world of modelling to eventually tie the knot years later. Embracing the concept of a celebration that reflects the essence and essential fundamentals, we can evidently see how less is more and classic will always be classy. Husband and wife design duo Adriaan Hugo and Katy Taplin opened their 6 square meter flagship store 2007, specialising in lighting, storage, gifts and garden products.*
