Today we visit the home of Cape Town caterer Nelleke Elston. Nelleke and her husband Micheal bought the darling cottage 2 ½ years ago, and has transformed it into an airy and tranquil home. They took on a lot of DIY projects. And by this I mean DIY in the true sense of the word. With the help of family and friends they sanded the floors, painted walls and even transformed the kitchen.
This week we give you a peek at baby Rood’s beautiful nursery. Rood’s mother is Retha Erichsen, the owner of The Farmer’s Daughter, one of our favourite decor shop in Stellenbosch. Retha is also a well known stylist and creative director. So when Retha said we are welcome to photograph her little girl’s bedroom, we jumped at the opportunity.
We have so many gorgeous weddings lined up at the moment, so I decided to speed things up a little and sneak in an extra one this week. Not to worry, our weekly recipe will be up this afternoon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on Gertjan and Leanne’s elegant soiree.
Today we double up on real wedding prettiness! We start with high school sweethearts Shaun and Laetitia’s colourful, handmade wedding. The two tied the knot in Cullinan, the quaint village most famous for its diamonds.
