Today we head to Louise Beukes from b.loved’s house to see how she celebrates Christmas. Louise is a fellow blogger and an incredible stylist living with her South African husband in London. Louise says that she gets excited by the idea of styling her Christmas table, every year!
“It’s the one time of year all the family get to sit down together, and a great opportunity to create something special. This year, my table is inspired by natural textures, rustic details and a touch of festive shine”.
Liz from BlueSky Flowers used succulents for their striking simplicity and gorgeous texture, displayed in bronze painted wine crates to create simple yet eye-catching arrangements, with added twine and baubles to add detail. Each guest is treated to a seasonal gift of a succulent displayed in a rustic birch holder at their place setting, set against the finest linen from Rowen & Wren, for an added touch of luxury.
The cake by Tempting Cake takes centre stage, it’s soft buttercream icing mimicking the rustic texture of bark, surrounded by a pinecone and birch star garland, interspersed with mini succulents and silver baubles adding a touch of elegant glamour. It wouldn’t be Christmas without fairy lights, so a softly lit curtain of lights adds a pretty backdrop from which to hang your favourite festive decorations, and a welcome message for your guests. For a final flourish, the table is scattered with birch stars, for added interest and texture.
