There are few things quite as beautiful as a timeless, romantic wedding. But couples who opt for a more personalised celebration is like a breath of fresh air.
Raphael and Romy decided to ignore everything they were “supposed to do”, instead they turned their wedding into a feast that included all the things they love. The two tied the knot in a beautiful greenhouse in a Botanical Garden in Berlin. They also made chocolates with their guests, that they could take home and enjoy later. Sounds like delicious fun!
We can’t get enough of the bride’s 1920′s look. So cute.
The team from Troistudios was there to capture all the wonderful moments of Raphael and Romy’s big day.

What were the highlights of your wedding day?
Our guests! That’s what you celebrate a wedding for, right? To share the happiest day of your life with your dearest friends and family! We loved seeing them enjoy themselves during our chocolate-DIY-session and later on the dancefloor – what more can you wish for?
Where did you get most of your ideas and inspiration from?
We wanted our wedding to reflect ourselves, and not somebody else’s idea of what a wedding “is supposed to be”.That’s why we “simply” followed our own ideas and tried not to get distracted by what some people in the wedding business keep trying to sell… There was no seating order, no menu cards, no intricate decorations. The invitations were actually just postcards – but we wrote every one of them by hand… We picked the beautiful botanical gardens in Berlin as our wedding location simply because we love gardens and greenhouses. Our outfits (as well as our wedding dance) were inspired by the Roaring Twenties, since we’ve been fascinated by their glamour and lust for life for some time already. It really was all about following our own ideas!
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome while organising your dream wedding?
Finding a Twenties dress! But those long hours of browsing the internet were more than worth it; I absolutely loved my “Jolie Josephine” charleston dress!
Did your wedding preparations include any DIY projects?
We made the most delicious chocolates from scratch! It was so much fun to do, and those three hours of creating something in a team and helping each other out brought familiy and friends so much closer. As a reward we packed the cholocates into cute little boxes and gave them to our guests as a wedding gift…
