Save the Date {Free Printable}

This is a super cute, easy to assemble and cost effective Save the Date for all you soon-to-be-brides out there. I used some photo’s of my own engagement shoot, way back in 2010, taken by the super talented Charmaine Spangenberg. This is something to have fun with while adding lots of personal touches. The sky’s the limit.

Instructions for Save the Date:

1 – Make sure you’ve got Adobe Reader installed on your computer. I’ve created a pdf that you guys can edit with the needed information.  I used “Another Typewriter“, but feel free to use whatever typeface you like. If you’ve been blessed with pretty handwriting, you should try writing it all out by hand – it will look just as stunning.
2 – Print out the Save the Date on any nice paper you can find.
3 – Score the card along the dotted lines and cut out along the solid lines, making sure you don’t forget to cut out the half circle.
4 – Place your photo in the middle fastening it with photo corners. I used jumbo sized photo’s (10 x 15 cm), but anything smaller will also do.
5 – Now all you have to do is prettify it with some ribbon, add some detail and have fun.

It’s such a blessing to make a living of something I love! All things pretty & unique inspire me and I love using all available tools to create.
In my free time I experiment on cooking and baking, painting, and enjoying the Langebaan Lagoon.

    Hi Susan! Thank you so much for posting this! planning to use this for our save the date and just wanted to ask for your permission if i can edit it a little? i was planning to use our wedding monogram on it. :)

    For those who cannot find a “cape liner”, you can try using the brown envelope :) Haha, yes the brown envelope. i just cut the back of the envelope to an A4 size and it worked well :)

    How would you mail this? In a separate envelope seems odd…but there’s clearly no way to do it without one, I suppose…

    Hey Zyra, what do you mean “the brown envelope??”

  • Chelsea

    Hi Susan! I absolutely love love love this. Thank you so much for posting it! I was wondering if you have this in white? I think this in white on brown paper would be just what my wedding has been looking for :). Thank you!
