It’s decor Tuesday, but today we’re not visiting someone’s home. {Although it can be you home for a night or two}. I’m talking about the Old Mac Daddy Luxury Trailer Park in Elgin.
After your engagement you’re likely to start seeing a lot of your parents and future in-laws. It’s in these early months that the foundation is laid for the relationship you’ll have as the newest members of each other’s families. Even if you’ve been together for many years, families-to-be will see you in a whole new light now that you’re officially becoming one of them. It’s therefore important to put your best foot forward for every family gathering from here on out!
T-Bone Walker calls it “Stormy Monday”. And yes, most Mondays feels kind of stormy to me. But there’s always a beautiful real wedding to brighten my day. The answers of the brides and grooms always puts a smile on my face. And today’s sweet wedding is no exception.
The beautiful Mari and “her Hannes” took the trip down the aisle early December last year. She describes their wedding decor as “mix and match” with a country feel. Soft garden roses also served as a source of inspiration. We’re loving the elegant, feminine feel of Hannes and Mari’s big day. Also the pretty pastel colour scheme that gives the decor that playful feel. We are in awe of the beautiful flowers, and Mari’s bouquet is simply a floral dream
Valentines day! YAY! I am by no means saying that I am a big fan of overly expensive red roses, kitchy love songs and eating myself into a chocolate frenzy. But, let’s face it, it is the one day you can be corny, fun and just a tad lame. ;) So at Seven Swans we decided to indulge you and created 10 Valentines Cards inspired by the lyrics of some love sick musicians. They are easy to download, print and add a personalised message!
We are excited to announce that acclaimed photographer, Claire Morgan, will be in South Africa soon. You might remember Claire, as we have featured some of her work here on the blog. Remember Rudi and Vikki’s wonderful Alpine wedding? Christine also shot a beautiful wedding in Spain alongside Claire last year.
Photographer Lara Scott recently sent over this shoot . I thought the colour combination was quite interesting, so I turned it into an Inspiration Board. I think this colour scheme with it’s natural hues would be perfect for a rustic beach wedding. I’m thinking driftwood, washed out shells and sand.
