Boy or Girl? {Gender Reveal Party}

We are so excited that today is DIY Thursday because that means we get to share an awesome idea with you – a gender reveal baby shower!! Imagine a totally gender neutral party (we choose pretty green and grey hues, but grey and yellow could be equally cute), where the parents find out, together with their friends and family, if their precious bundle will be a boy or a girl! We just LOVE it!

Seven Swans, powered up the usual DIY team to include the fabulous Annari from Nelle Cakes (that ruffle cake is GORGEOUS!). We even got Nicola to help us style this pretty party and the absolutely lovely Claudia De Nobrega from VDA STUDIOS captured our delightful morning (she did a great job, didn’t she!?).

We designed an invitation, heaps of bunting, two different kinds of food labels as well as some games to add to the fun of the special occasion. You can download these from the links at the end of the post. Annari, shows you which yummy bits goes well with the colour scheme (we added meringues, marshmellows, mints, white chocolate truffles and of course cupcakes is a must!) and made the cake which will reveal the secret!

Pretty Blog DIY Gender Reveal Seven Swans Nelle Cakes Food Games Boy or Girl? {Gender Reveal Party} As soon as the ultrasound can reveal whether you are having a boy or a girl, instead of telling the proud parents to be, let them write it down on a piece of paper and secure in an envelope. Hand the envelope over to your baker (hint, hint… Nelle Cakes!) and they will create a perfectly secretive cake.

We have had a blast helping moms that are having gender reveal parties. We make custom rugs for nurseries, and you are going to need a rug anyway why not unroll the rug to reveal the sex of the baby. Just choose the size, Shape, the rug colors, the initial or monogram for both sexes & have your doctor or friend call us or email us the sex of the baby. We will then make your gender reveal rug & ship it when you tell us to. The rug will be shipped so that you will not see if it is a boy or a girl until you unroll it. Thanks so much for sharing this DIY gender reveal! I was excited but wished I had time to make decorations for our gender reveal this weekend then I found this yesterday and fell in love!
