Tree Poetry {DIY}

We are always looking for new and creative ways of designing and printing Order of Service Programs. We came up with this heart-shaped booklet which serves both as lovely décor as well as a new way of presenting your guests with the need-to-know for the ceremony.

Once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to make and can be used in so many different ways. Basically it is long strips of card folded to form a heart and held in place with a long piece of ribbon. When you undo the knot, it folds open to form a little booklet. Being in the shape of a heart, we added beautiful quotations all about hearts and love on the outside. Clusters of these hearts hanging from trees outside your venue make for lovely photos and is bound to set your guests in a romantic mood for your wedding.

♥ Cut a 2m piece of thin ribbon. Make a loop at the top of the ribbon and tie a knot.

♥ Thread the two long loose ends through the two centre holes

♥ Fold the design in half so that the two bigger holes align with the two long ends of the ribbon between the card stock.

♥ Pull the two long ends of the ribbon down to create the heart’s curve.

♥ Thread the long pieces of the ribbon through the bottom holes and make a tight knot to make the heart-shape secure.

    Hehe, you stole my idea :)
    Am not using it for the order of service though, I am using it on my tables, with photos on the front, and a quick thank you note in the middle…

    Great minds :)

    I just have one question…I think the design is awesome…but how do you print your order of service for example on the other side? sorry, if it’s a stupid question…because you only give us samples for one side…

    i love this, but i’m so confused! how do you tie the bottom of the ribbon to get the pointy part of the heart? i’ve tried several times and just get this round, if-you-squint-hard-enough-it-could-be-a-heart shaped thing :(
