We all know that Nicola is our inhouse foodie, but let me tell you… here at Seven Swans we are on cloud 9 when we bite into something delicious. Lovely fat black olives; bruschetta with ripe tomatoes, basil and ground black pepper; juicy slices of watermelon with feta… Oh my toes curl even just thinking about it! But my all time favourites must be chunky slices of camembert or brie. Served with fresh ciabatta and cherry tomato jam or even on its own, I’m not bothered, I will love it anyway!
Since today is DIY Thursday we have come up with two lovely ideas for you to jazz up your next party cheese platter (and since lovely cheeses don’t need much jazzing up, these are really simple and easy to do yourself!).
Idea 1: Cut ribbon into about 12cm long strips and for added pizzaz make sure you cut the ends swallow tailed. Tie these around a sosatie stick and voila, you have your own mini cheese flags. The best part is that you can make this in any colour scheme or pattern to suit your party theme.
Idea 2: Label your cheese platter by printing the free printable we have made specially for our Pretty Blog readers. Cut the circles out along the edges and stick to a sosatie stick using cellotape. You can even print them on coloured paper or use smooth white for a more sophisticated feel.
Have fun!
xx Anelle from Seven Swans
