  I absolutely love DIY weddings! As a wedding photographer you soon learn to recognise DIY from store bought projects. Just this passed weekend I did photography at a wedding where the bride, her friends and family had done everything. There is a personality to these types of weddings which shows in the photographs afterwards. There is less of a stiffness and a more natural and friendly look which fits in with the bridal couple. The tips you have given are great!

  These are FABULOUS for my social and dining etiquette classes – children or adults! Love them.

  I would like to graciously add that I am on a mission to educate on the use of the term “high tea” that is often associated with “high class” or “elegance”, but mistakenly referred to for an “afternoon tea”.

  “High Tea” is usually served after 5pm and with heavy meal items that include meat (it originates from the working class men going home for dinner at the “high” table) as opposed to the “Low table associated with the bedside table that began with the Dutchess of Bedford”.

  “Afternoon tea” came into play when the Dutchess felt the need to have something light between lunch and supper, and thus began moving “tea” into the parlor for “Afternoon Tea”, consisting of the more traditional tea as we know it, to include scones, fruit, sweet treats and of course….tea. :-)
