These stunning pictures look more like they belong on the pages of Vogue Magazine than on a wedding blog, especially the ones of the beautiful bride getting ready. Annemari Ruthven, one of our favourite photographers took these photo’s. The gorgeous couple in the pictures is Anri and Anthony who tied the knot on 10/10/10!
I always feel like getting crafty on Valentines Day. While I LOVE the day in all its glorious kitchyness (spoil me to a champagne breakfast in bed any day!), I hate supporting the money-making frenzy with its overpriced roses and boring chocolates. I rather try to make something by hand to add just that little bit of whimsy and romance to an otherwise cliched day.
Today we share Regina and Jimmy’s sweet engagement session, photographed by German photographer Nadia Meli. We are just crazy about her work! Can you believe that this is only her first year of business! She’s so talented and we’ll have some more of her work on the blog soon.
It’s scorching hot here in Stellenbosch this time of the year, but luckily there’s lots of refreshing fruits in season at the moment (and the beach is also not to far from here). One of my favourite summer fruits is watermelon. There’s nothing better than a big peace of cold watermelon on a hot day.

Gold is so making a comeback, and I really had a hard time deciding whether I wanted a yellow gold, white gold or rose gold ring engagement ring! In the end I went for white gold. However, I’ve already (secretly) designed two rings from my engagement ring.
