Last Wednesday Christine and I had the privilege of attending the most amazing year-end celebration. The party was hosted by Absolute Weddings & Events in collaboration with the breathtakingly beautiful Molenvliet Wine and Guest Estate. Only a hundred fortunate guests, from the wedding industry, attended this unforgettable event. Everything was planned meticulously so that we could enjoy the evening, from the fresh lemonade, survival kit, hand sanitizers and iced towels on arrival, to the late night snacks and entertainment!

While sipping on Graham Beck Bubbly, we were served fresh oysters by The Oyster King.  The Oyster King, dressed in maritime gear, moved among the guests, shucking and serving tasty, oysters. Mario, from Black Pig’s, artisan charcuterie was also a big hit. Mario sliced his beautiful meets into thin slices and served it on freshly baked bread. His salami and coppa ham was to die for.

The incredible food was prepared by Dish Food and Social, and Wade’s Cakes and Kanyacilla Hunt prepared the beautiful sweet treats. We were swooning over Wade’s GORGEOUS dessert table, which included meringue towers, tiny lemon meringues, snowflake cookies and shortbread to name just a few. (Christine and I both had two lemon meringues, they were so delicious).

While relaxing under the beautiful festival tent, we were entertained by Zamar Music and Incognito. The entertainment didn’t stop there, it continued with performers on stilts and fire blowers from Afrodizzyacts. After a well-needed cup of coffee from Coffee Booth, we boogied the night away with DJ René.

Finally, I just have to mention the stationary designed by Creatus Designs. It was so pretty! Almost everything had a beautifully designed tag or a sign, form the ice-cream cones to the blankets. We even received the most delicate drive-safely-card tucked under the windscreen wiper when we arrived at our car.

I can honestly say that Karla Oettler form Absolute Weddings created the most perfect celebration  Not a moment passed when we were not served refreshments or entertained in some way. It was an unforgettable experience, and everything was so inspirational. I am definitely having a white Christmas this year!
