While it may be cold today at our little studio I have made a cheery and bright new DIY! The sparkler send-off has become a popular modern tradition and today I have provided custom sparkler packaging in a variety of hues.
Sparklers can be purchased in boxes at any local party store. Simply slide a few through the printable packaging and they’re ready to be set out for guests. Make sure you have some matches or lighters nearby in case guests don’t have their own. In fact why not get some coordinating wrapping paper and cover Lion matchboxes so that they suit your colour scheme? Just be sure to cover only 3 sides and leave one of the striking sides clear.
When putting together this super simple DIY, I recommend making very small slits above and below the text area. The smaller the slit the tighter the sparklers will be kept in place. For added structure tape the sparklers to the card at the back.
Happy Crafting!
xoxo Bianca of Lucky No. 9

Man you guys post the cutest things to do on this blog!
Really loving all the content!
Oh! I love this! I did this for my wedding (albeit not with such fancy note cards) and it was a huge hit – and looked amazing in photos – and cost next to nothing! Plus you can get sparklers in different colours too!
Great idea – and so easy to do! Thank you.
Nicely done Bianca … so cute, as always!
absolutely stunning … love every little thing you guys posted here … thanks
I have a quick question. I absolutely love these sparkler sleeves, but we are using 10 inch sparklers and when I printed the sleeves they are only 7 inches long. What size sparklers are used in the picture? Or did you blow up the sleeves a bit? Thanks! :)
Hi Lidsey, I think you need to contact the designer :) She’d know best :) Just click on her name for more details :)
Fantastic! I’m trying to find the specific character font you are using. Is there a way to download it? Many thanks. Olivier from Paris, France.
Hi Olivier
I think you should contact the Bianca, the designer. She would be able to help bianca@theprinterie.com .
Thanks for your support.
@Lindsey, apologies for the delay, the cards were designed with small sparklers in mind – purchased from a local party shop in South Africa. However I am sure a local printing company can blow up the pdf we provided in the DIY to suit the size you need
@Olivier, the font is embedded in the design but if you’d like to download it the name is Eccentric STD and you can find it for free online, just Google it and you should find a suitable download.
Many thanks!
Bianca, The upper message (Light me) is Eccentric STD but the lower message (When the …) seems to be in a different font. Do you mind giving me this font too? Many thanks. I promise I will not bother you again :)
I love the idea… but I would like to change the message, something like Light me at walltz time (in Spanish should be “Enciéndeme en el vals”… I’m Spainsih)… how can I do it? Thanks…
omg im so using this idea for my wedding !!! its gonna look amazing…..but where can you get the different color sparkles?? i always thought it was just the 1 color. Im in Cape Town
