High Tea Inspiration {DIY}

Well hello there Pretty Blog readers! Before I present the first of many DIY projects, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bianca Packham and I run a boutique stationery studio in Cape Town called Lucky No. 9. I’m passionate about paper and try to infuse that perfect touch of whimsy in each design I create. In addition to making invitations I love to craft and so to help all those DIY brides out there, I’ll be sharing projects you can make at home – all you’ll need is a printer and some good old-fashioned creativity.

HighTea High Tea Inspiration {DIY}

As we head into spring I thought it would be the perfect time to create a set of High Tea stationery. These lacy Tea Tags, Invitations and Thank You cards are perfect for a kitchen tea, bridesmaid’s luncheon or just a get together between friends. I’ve chosen a soft palette of pink, pale grey and slate. Once you’ve printed them you’ll just need some pale pink ribbon to complete the look.

After your guests receive their Lacy Invites in the mail, they’ll love the attention to detail when they see the custom tea tags on their chosen blend.  Below is the how-to but you’ll also find the step-by-step instructions in the download

Finally set the scene with your favourite tea set, some sweet treats and a bunch of blushing bride flowers – the perfect bloom for a pre-wedding event!

I’m a passionate creative who loves silk blouses, beautiful blooms and red velvet cupcakes. After running Lucky No. 9 design for 2 years I returned to my journalism roots and now I’m a fulltime writer and blogger. As a devoted Francophile I hope one day I’ll be writing these posts from a little bit of heaven in La Ville-Lumière.

  14. Thanksgiving Traditions for Kids | A Pinch of Joy - November 14, 2011

    [...] Kids love to be a part  of preparations  so let them set the unbreakables on table(s) ahead of time.  The cutlery place mat reminds them which side to put silverware.    Provide washable markers and let kids add their names and decorate.  Use them on a separate kid’s table or under kid plates on the main table to help catch drips. Consider using the fancy swirly one under buffet serving dishes with the name of the dish written on the edge. And dozens of other possibilities.  Older kids can help with ideas or do the printing, too.  You can find the printables at The Pretty Blog. [...]
