#2: Colour Scheme {wedding planning}

I started with my visual diary and then after many pictures, inspiration and ideas, Iaan and I started selecting colour combinations… My fist idea was white, white and a little more white! I know it’s probably not a creative choice for weddings, but white makes me happy. :) It’s light and beautiful and very me!

But then on the other hand I felt like doing something different. I wanted to choose colours with personality. Colour that still suited me and Iaan, but with some element of fun. So this is what we ended up with…

Rudi and Vikki {Alpine Wedding}

We say goodbye to winter with this gorgeous wedding by Claire Morgan. Vikki and Rudi, former Sharks centre, tied the knot this February in the Austrian Alps. Family and friends from all over the world headed to Saalbach-Hinterglemm in Salzburg for the celebration. We just love all the pictures in the snow, it’s magical.

Sparkler {DIY}

The sparkler send-off has become a popular modern tradition and today I have provided custom sparkler packaging in a variety of hues. Sparklers can be purchased in boxes at any local party store. Simply slide a few through the printable packaging and they’re ready to be set out for guests.

Mood Board {Trendy Turquoise}

This is the inspiration board for the second shoot that (our very own) Christine Meintjes did in collaboration with Flowers in the Foyer, Elsje Design and Kanyacilla Hunt. A few months ago these creative girls decided to do a series of shoots,with four different themes (The first shoot had a botanical theme) . They came up with this idea because they wanted to experiment with new ideas and themes, and the result is just so inspiring.

Rudi & Katinka {Wintery Wedding}

Wedding timetable {golden hour}

As a photographer I understand the importance of a very well-organised timetable for your wedding day. Make sure you have consulted your photographer and that he/she has had a chance to give you some input into the times allocated for certain events.It’s very important to give your photographer enough time to shoot every area of your wedding, as well as give him/her the best lighting of the day, to shoot the the couple photos.
