To say I have a passion for food is an understatement. I was reminded of the depth of this passion when, on honeymoon in Paris, I realised that I was way more exited to bite into a Parisian macaroon than to see the Eiffel tower! Anyway, back to today’s post. I really, really love sweet things, not just because of their sugar content but because desserts and baked goods can be so pretty, colourful and fun.
Thank you to Welovepictures for sharing this quaint wedding with us. I really like that, even though this wedding is vintage and classy, it still has a South African feel to it. Must be the stoep and the Kudu horns! De Wet and Jonét got married in Lydenburg Mpumalanga, but the farmhouse and the landscape somehow reminds me of the Karoo
Polaroid’s fascinate me! They are timeless and super cool. When I saw this idea from one of Nikki Meyer’s weddings, I decided we just have to do a blog post about Polaroid’s and how to make your own, here on the Pretty Blog.
Red is the colour of passion and love, but you’re probably skeptical about using it for your wedding, and rightfully so. Red can be quite a bold colour, and you don’t want your wedding to look like a Valentine’s Day or Christmas party?! However, if you use the right shade of red and combine it with another colour, like this lively light blue, it can be such a fun colour scheme. Think red lips, red berries and red shoes!
When I saw these beautiful pictures (taken by Tec Petaja), I knew I had to share it here on the blog. This bride brilliantly combined quite a simple dress with a bold necklace, and still managed to look elegant and understated. Spicing up your wedding attire by wearing brightly coloured shoes is an ongoing trend, and I find the addition of some bright and bold accessories a refreshingly new flavour.
Everytime I look at these wedding pictures I fall more in love with them. Just by looking at these pictures you can feel Dan and Caryn’s excitement and happiness. This vibrant wedding, photographed by Annemari Ruthven immediately caught my eye. It’s not just because it’s so colourful and full of life that I like it. I also admire Caryn, well I actually think she is super woman.
This post is a first for The Pretty Blog, in more than one way! It’s our first engagement session (well it’s not really an engagement session but we just had to post these!), it is our first American feature, and finally, it’s also the first feature from Kay English Photography. (These pictures were taken at Jessica Claire workshop in and around New York)
These pics are just so beautiful, and super romantic! With its vintage look, bright colours and handsome couple, we simply could not resist featuring these on The Pretty Blog when asked, it is after all a perfect match!!!
